Jasper Blom is a political economist at the Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute. His areas of expertise are global financial governance, G20 policymaking, and private interest representation in financial regulation. He currently works on the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship project ‘G20 Legitimacy and Policymaking’ (G20LAP, grant no. 845121). In addition, he is interested in the conceptual and political ramifications of the Anthropocene.
Previously, he was director of the green think tank Bureau de Helling and worked as a policy advisor at the European Central Bank and Dutch Ministry of Finance. Earlier academic affiliations include the University of Amsterdam and Leiden University.
